Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2025. This page explains what information we collect, how it's used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
To provide monitoring, Relief Monitor collects the account and case information necessary to observe your IRS account activity, along with basic contact and account details you provide when you sign up (such as your name, email, and phone number).
How we use information
Information is used to establish your monitoring baseline, detect and log changes, generate alerts and reports, and operate and improve the monitoring service. We do not use your information to file returns, negotiate with the IRS, or take action on your behalf.
How we share information
Relief Monitor does not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting and communications providers), and only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services, under confidentiality obligations.
Data retention
We retain monitoring history and reports for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward as needed for recordkeeping, legal, or support purposes. You can request deletion of your account information subject to those limits.
Your choices and access
You can review the monitoring history and reports associated with your account at any time, and you can revoke previously granted access, which stops monitoring going forward. Contact us to request a copy of your data or to ask about deletion.
Security
We apply encryption, access controls, and access logging to protect information involved in monitoring. See our Security page for more detail on these practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
